Crabb Responds

In our September-October newsletter we asked and answered the question, "Is Crabb now Anti- Psychology?" The article was prompted by many inquiries to us following Crabb’s Moody Bible Institute talk and his Christianity Today interview.

Many people believed that Crabb’s talk and interview signaled an about-face on psychology and Christian psychology. But, after reading and analyzing Crabb for years, we knew better.

In the October 2nd Christianity Today Letters to the Editor column, Crabb proves us right. The following is quoted from Crabb’s letter to CT:

I am neither crusading against psychology nor do I want to put an end to Christian psychology. . . .

Positioning me as an antipsychology crusader who wants to end Christian psychology is badly inaccurate and places me in company where I don’t belong. I am a friend of Christian counseling; I am not part of the antipsychology movement; and I am grateful for the many godly men and women who faithfully represent Christ in their professional counseling (October 2, 1995).

For those of you who wish to be fully armed on the issue of Crabb’s integrationist position, we suggest obtaining one or more of the following:
