Against "Biblical Counseling":
For the Bible
Against
"Biblical Counseling": For the Bible is a necessary critique of the
growing biblical counseling movement in America, spreading to other parts of
the world alongside psychological counseling.
"Is biblical counseling biblical?" Though the question is simple, the answer
needs explanation. This book is an analysis of biblical counseling—what it
is, rather than what it pretends or even hopes to be. Its primary thrust is
to call Christians back to the Bible and to biblically ordained ministries
and mutual care in the Body of Christ, "For the perfecting of the saints,
for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ" (Eph.
4:12).
